This map of Shetland’s creative landscape can lead you on a journey throughout Shetland to visit a range of craft studios and workshops. Craft makers, designers, applied and visual artists produce a diverse selection of products as part of a growing creative community. Inspiration often comes from their environment, culture and the use of indigenous materials.

The Shetland Arts and Crafts Association was set up in 1995 to develop and market contemporary Shetland craft. Over the decades it has gone from strength to strength. We hope you enjoy your visit and take home a unique piece of Shetland from one of our makers.
